Dr. Wood specializes in pediatric plastic surgery, craniofacial surgery, facial aesthetic surgery, including rhinoplasty, and adult and pediatric facial trauma. After completing her Plastic Surgery residency at Wake Forest University, she completed a Craniofacial Fellowship under the skillful guidance of Dr. John van Aalst at UNC-Chapel Hill.
Her specialties include facial aesthetic surgery, as well as all facets of pediatric plastic and craniofacial surgery, including skin conditions, such as giant congenital nevi, cystic lesions and keloids, cleft lip, cleft palate, and complex facial clefts, craniofacial microsomia, congenital hand anomalies, congenital and acute facial paralysis, positional plagiocephaly, craniosynostosis, congenital ear abnormalities, vascular malformations, and gynecomastia. She also manages complex facial trauma, including fractures and soft tissue injury. In her free time, Dr. Wood enjoys reading, running, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
