Stubborn Fat Gone for Good
A healthy diet and regular exercise may keep you healthy—but sometimes, avid calorie counting and no amount of laborious hours logged at the gym get you the shape you desire. Are you ready to have the body you want? Consider liposuction at Chapel Hill’s UNC Aesthetic & Laser Center.
Liposuction can be performed on many areas of the body. Stubborn fat deposits that are often resistant to diet and exercise are located in the arms, thighs, and stomach. In addition, the doctors at UNC often perform liposuction on the neck to remove the appearance of a double chin. Liposuction is especially beneficial to achieve a specific shape. During your consultation one of our doctors will explain to you what results can be achieved through your liposuction procedure.
What You Can Expect
Regardless of where the procedure is performed, the doctors at UNC Aesthetic & Laser Center are careful to ensure that there is minimal discomfort during the procedure. Depending on the area and extensiveness of the treatment, you may be placed under general anesthesia or need only a local anesthesia. Recovery time varies. You should be able to return to normal activities in about three to four weeks. If you are being treated for a smaller area, you may be able to return to your day to day life in even less time. Wearing compression garments post-procedure can increase your recovery time.
