The UNC Aesthetic & Laser Center

Meet the Staff

Felicia, PA UNC Plastic Surgery

Felicia

  • Aesthetic Patient Coordinator

Felicia Weaver,Patient Coordinator

As patient coordinator, Felicia Weaver is responsible for scheduling new patients, providing clinical templates for doctors, and providing educational materials to our patients.

She has a versatile background that complements her role as patient coordinator. Before she came to UNC, she spent four years as a Practical Nurse at an outpatient children’s pediatric clinic, which gave her an inside perspective into both health care and patient relationships.

As a mom of three, Felicia decided to take a position at UNC because it not only provided more regular hours, but also allowed her to interact more with patients.

Felicia says she has “found a much bigger family than she expected” at UNC. She is able to witness positive outcomes for patients, many of whom have worked with her since their initial consultation. “The relationships you build with patients are very rewarding,” she says, “and knowing that you’re helping them achieve their personal goals is a great feeling.”

She can also relate with many of UNC’s patients. Because she was a burn victim during her childhood, she understands how challenging the rehabilitation process can be.

>Nicole UNC Aesthetic Clinical Nurse

Nicole, RN

  • Aesthetic Clinical Nurse

Nicole Morrison, RN

As the registered nurse for our practice, Nicole wears many hats. She not only assists the doctors, but also attends clinics, counsels patients both pre- and postoperatively, handles triage phone calls and has become an expert in certain areas of plastic surgery procedures, such as nipple and areola reconstruction.

Nicole graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) with her BSN in Nursing, and she’s had a diverse nursing career ever since. She spent two years in orthopedics, followed by many years in home health care nursing.

When she moved from New Jersey to North Carolina, she transferred to the burn center at UNC, which gave her insight into the specialty of reconstructive surgery. A short time later, she began at the UNC Burn Reconstruction & Aesthetic Center.

Nicole has wanted to be a nurse as long as she can remember. “I even made a poster about being a nurse in the fourth grade,” she recalls. She has discovered through her health care journey that outpatient nursing is definitely her niche. “I appreciate being able to interact with patients and their family for longer on the surgical side – the continuity is there,” she says. “The hands-on experience with each patient from start to finish has been phenomenal.”
