Dr. Clara Lee's focus at UNC is on reconstructive surgery to correct defects caused by the removal of tumors. She often performs breast reconstruction procedures, including advanced microsurgical techniques used in free tissue transfer, as well as breast reduction, breast augmentation, and breast lift.
Research by Dr. Lee has covered a range of topics in plastic and reconstructive surgery, including surgical outcomes, medical decision-making, health services research and health behavior.
Dr. Lee completed her plastic surgery residency at the University of California San Francisco. Her residency in General Surgery was completed at New York Hospital. She received her Masters in Public Policy (MPP) at Harvard University Kennedy School of Government. Her Medical Doctorate (M.D.) was completed through the Yale University School of Medicine.
